Bridging & Other Patches

Brownies can earn patches for their vest called Try-Its. There are also several other patch programs and earned awards including bridging.

Bridging - Bridge to Junior Girl Scouts Award

    1. Ask a JGS or an adult who works with JGS to tell you about JGS
    2. Find out about the awards for JGS (badges and signs)
    3. Take part in an event for Brownies bridging to the Junior level
    4. Do an activity from the JGS Handbook or Badges & Signs Book
    5. Do an activity from the JGS Issues for Girl Scouts booklet
    6. Do a JGS online science or tech activity on the Just for Girls Web pages
    7. Attend a meeting or event as the guest of a JGS troop or group
    8. Do a service project with Junior Girl Scouts
    9. Write to a JGS pen pal who lives in your area or another state
    10. "Make a poster, collage or a flier showing what JGS is all about"
    11. Put on a skit or program about an activity done with a JGS
    12. Teach a song or game learned from a JGS
    13. Go to Girl Scout day or resident camp
    14. Plan and do an outdoor activity with other GS and families
